On November 8, 1970, about 700 Viet Cong armed soldiers hid in villagers houses in Puk Yuk village, VU922-978, and also set up a big base at VU924-970. On October 27, 1970 enemies set up a warehouse to store weapons and rice Sambo Prey Kuk. The total number of the soldiers was 650 which was divided into 2 groups. The first group consisted of 400 soldiers, which the second consisted of 250 soldiers.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ៨ វិច្ឆិកា ១៩៧០ ខ្មាំងវៀតកុងចំនួនប្រហែល៧០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានមកលាក់ខ្លួនតាមផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុកនៅភូមិ ពុកយុក ត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ៩២២-៩៧៨។ ហើយពួកវាបានតាំងមូលដ្ឋាន មួយយ៉ាងធំនៅត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ៩២៤-៩៧០។ កាលពីថ្ងៃ២៧ តុលា ១៩៧០ ពួកខ្មាំងបានតាំងកន្លែងផ្ទុកអាវុធ និង អង្ករជាច្រើនបាននៅ សំបូរព្រៃគុក។ ពួកនេះមានចំនួន៦៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ធុន ហើយវាចែកជា២ក្រុម ដែលក្រុមទី១មានគ្នា ៤០០នាក់ និងក្រុមទី២ចំនួន១៥០នាក់។
