On March 21, 1971, around 300 North Yuon-Khmer Viet Cong soldiers, under the command of Chem, alias Ta Sro, Ta Man and Chea Leng, hid in villages, Tom Nop Thom sub-sitrict, Chrey Las sub-district, Pon Nhea Leu district, Kandal province. The source stated that that above enemies were waiting their reinforcements in Unit 201 to destroy National Army Base in Pon Nhea Leu district.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ២១ មីនា ១៩៧១ មានខ្មែរ និងយួនយៀកកុងប្រដាប់អាវុធ ប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ ឆែម ហៅ តាស្រល់, តាមន និងជា ឡេង បានចូលមកលាក់ខ្លួននៅតាមភូមិនានាក្នុងឃុំទំនប់ធំ ឃុំជ្រៃលាស់ ស្រុកពញ្ញាឮ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ពីខ្មាំង ខាងលើដែលបានមកលាក់ខ្លួននោះ គឺដើម្បីរង់ចាំទ័ពបន្ថែមរបស់ពួកគេ នៅកងលេខ១០១ មកដល់ទើបបើកការវាយប្រហារមកលើទីតាំង កងទ័ពជាតិនៅពញាឮតែម្ដង។
