On March 23, 1972, around 300 North Yuon-Khmer Viet Congs soldiers moved from Pea Reang district, Prey Veng province to hide at WT 113-783 in Toul Trea forest which was probably 1,600 metres to the Northeast of Prek Kmeng village in Prek Kmeng sub-district, Lvea Em district, Kandal province. They deployed ten 82 mm heavy artilleries and 60 mm mortars in the above region.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៣ មីនា ១៩៧២ យួនយៀកកុង និងខ្មែរយៀកកុង ប្រដាប់អាវុធចំនួនប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ បានចេញពីស្រុកពារាំង ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង ឆ្លងកាត់ទនេ្លតូចមកលាក់ខ្លួននៅព្រៃទួលទ្រា ឃ្លាតចម្ងាយ ប្រហែល១៦០០ម ប៉ែកខាងជើងឈៀងខាងកើតភូមិព្រែកកេ្មង ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ១១៣-៧៨៣ ក្នុងឃុំព្រៃកេ្មង ស្រុកល្វាឯម ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកវាមានកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់ទំហំ៨២មម និងទំហំ៦០ ចំនួនប្រហែល១០ដើម។
