On March 26, 1972, 100 North Yuon Viet Cong armed forces of Battalion No. 101 transported 10 ox-carts of 122mm shells to hide in the northern part of Wat Po Niyum at VT668-688, Roleang Ken sub-district, Kandal Stung district of Kandal province in an attempt to shell at Phnom Penh.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៦ មីនា ១៩៧២ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងប្រដាប់អាវុធ គ្រប់ដៃចំនួនប្រហែល១០០នាក់ ក្នុងកងវរៈសេនាតូច១០១ បានដឹក គ្រាប់ទំហំ១២២មម និងគ្រាប់ផ្លោងផេ្សងៗ ទៀតចំនួន១០រទេះគោ មកលាក់នៅខាងជើងវត្ដពោធិ៍និយម ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៦៦៨-៦៨៨ ក្នុងឃុំ រលាំងកែន ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ក្នុងគោលបំណងបាញ់ ផ្លោងចូលមកក្នុងក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
