In the Khmer Rouge's time, the Angkar assigned Maisam to work as a cook at the eatring hall. Then she was sent to live and work at an other village and she was assigned to build dams and dig canals and the eating was very diffecult by only providing soup mixing with banana tree and taro leaves.
ក្នុងសម័យខ្មែរក្រហម អង្គការបានចាត់តាំង ម៉ៃសំឲ្យធ្វើការក្នុងរោងបាយ ជាមូយចុងភៅ។ ក្រោយមកគេជម្លៀសឲ្យនៅភូមិមួយកន្លែងទៀត ការងារដូចជាលើកទំនប់និងជីកប្រឡាយ ដោយដាក់កំណត់ការងារមនុស្សម្នាក់ៗ។ ចំពោះការហូបចុកលំបាកណាស់ ហូបតែសម្លរដើមចេកនិងដើមត្រាវ។
