On April 7, 1971, approximately 100 Viet Cong armed forces (most of them were Vietnamese) left Prek Reang village, sangkat Ta Khmao, Kandal Stung district for Boeng Khyang at VT:927-528. 50 of them were designated to move to the Western part of Prek Run and set up 2 of 60mm mortars at VT:994-551, sangkat Prek Koy in an attempted to attack National Army in Sa Ang district office. But they failed to do so because of the local people request.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៧ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មាំងវៀតកុងប្រដាប់អាវុធ ប្រហែល១០០នាក់ ភាគច្រើនជាជាតិយួន បានធើ្វដំណើរចេញពី ភូមិព្រែករាំង សង្កាត់តាខ្មៅ ស្រុកកណ្ដាលសឹ្ទង មកស្នាក់នៅមាន បឹងខ្យាង ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៩២៧-៥២៨។ ក្នុងចំណោមគ្នាវា១០០ នាក់នោះ គឺវាបានចាត់ចាត់គ្នា៥០នាក់ អោយមកនៅខាងលិចភូមិ ព្រែករុន ដោយមានរៀបកាំភើ្លងត្បាល់ធុន៦០មម ២ដើម ត្រង់ចំណុច វ៉េតេៈ៩៩៤-៥៥១ សង្កាត់ព្រែកគយ បម្រុងបាញ់ ផ្លោងមកលើទី តាំងកងការពារជាតិនៅសាលាស្រុកស្អាង តែត្រូវឈប់ទៅវិញ ដោយ មានអ្នកស្រុកអង្វរពួកវា។
