On April 9, 1971, approximately 200 Viet Cong and Khmer Armed Forces hid themselves at WT:054-574 in sangkat Svay Pra Teal, Kean Svay district, Kandal province. They aimed to attack National Military Position in Kampong Svay region, Kean Svay district and Baren region in Sa Ang district.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៩ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មាំងយៀកកុងប្រដាប់អាវុធ ប្រហែល២០០នាក់ ដោយមានលាយខ្មែរយៀកកុងចម្រុះផង បានធើ្វ ដំណើរចូលមកលាក់ខ្លួននៅត្រង់ចំណុចដុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ០៥៤-៥៧៤ ក្នុង សង្កាត់ស្វាយប្រទាល ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ គោលបំណងពួក វាប្រុងវាយទីតាំងការពារនៃកងទ័ពជាតិនៅតំបន់កំពង់ស្វាយ ស្រុកកៀន ស្វាយ និងតំបន់បារ៉ែន ស្រុកស្អាង។
