On February 13, 1973, around 1,000 North Yuon-Khmer Viet Cong soldiers deployed at WT 086-658 in Rom Lek village, Kean Svay district, Kandal province. 600 others moved up from Sa Ang district toward Chong Prek Thmei at WT 002-685 in Prek Thmei sub-district, Kean Svay district, Kandal province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៣ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរ យៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល១,០០០នាក់ បានរាយបណ្ដាក់គ្នានៅត្រង់ចំណុច ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ ០៨៦-៦៥៨ ក្នុងភូមិលំលែក ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកខ្មាំងប្រហែល៦០០នាក់ទៀត ឡើងមកពីស្រុកស្អាង ចូលមកលាក់ខ្លួននៅចុងព្រែកថី្ម ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ ០០៨-៦៨៥ ក្នុងភូមិព្រែកថ្មី សង្កាត់ព្រែកថ្មី ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ។
