On February 21, 1973, about 20 Yuon-Khmer Viet Cong infiltrated at VT 898-647 and attacked national army based in Spean Bakk, Prek Kampoes sub-district, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. Every day the enemies moved across national road No. 2 near Krai Snam village VT 894-647 and Pra Theat village VT 860-646, Dangkao district, in an attempt to attack Takhmao provincial town and destroy Monivong bridge.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២១ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យួនយៀកកុង និងខ្មែរ យៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល២០នាក់ បានចូលមកត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៨៩៨-៦៤៧ រួចបាញ់សំដៅមកលើកងការពារយើងដែលប្រចាំនៅត្រង់ស្ពាន បាក់ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រែកកំពិស ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ហើយសព្វថ្ងៃនេះ ពួកខ្មាំងអាចឆ្លងកាត់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ២ ម្ដុំភូមិក្រៃស្នំ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ ៨៩៤-៦៤៧ និងភូមិប្រធាតុ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៨៦០-៦៤៦ សើ្ទរតែរាល់យប់ចូលមកស្រុកដង្កោ ក្នុងគោលបំណង វាយប្រហារក្រុងតាខ្មៅ និងផ្ដាច់ស្ពានមុនីវង្ស។
