On May 16, 1970, Mak Vin, who lived in Lvea sub-district, Kampong Thabek district, Prey Veng province, voluntarily served the National Army, as corporal trainee in Military police Unit.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៦ ឧសភា ១៩៧០ ឈ្មោះ មាក់ វិន រស់នៅឃុំល្វា ស្រុកកំពង់ត្របែក ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង បានស្ម័គ្រចិត្ដចូលបម្រើក្នុងកង យោធពលខេមរៈជាតិ មានមុខងារជាសិស្សពលបាលត្រីតម្រួតយោធា។
