On January 24, 1973, about 50 Khmer Viet Cong soldiers armed with PM-AC guns, AR-15 guns and M-79
guns, under the command of OK Sary alias Tuon, moved from Teuk La Ak sub-district in Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province to stay at VT 518-524, in Svay Chrum village, Krang Ampel sub-district, Samrong Tong district. On January 24, 1973, they continued to move toward VT 501-539, in Ta Norng village and burned villager's houses down at VT 501-549 and VT 497-547. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ មានខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល ៥០នាក់ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ អ៊ុក សារី ហៅ ទួន ប្រដាប់អាវុធ ពិសេសមានប៉េអ៊ឹម-អាសេ, អាអ៊ា-១៥ និងអ៊ឹម-៧៩ ចំនួន៥ដើម បានដកថយពីសង្កាត់ទឹកល្អក់ ស្រុកសំរោងទង ចូលមកស្នាក់នៅ ភូមិស្វាយជ្រុំ វ៉េតេៈ៥១៨-៥២៤ សង្កាត់ក្រាំងអំបិល ស្រុកសំរោង ទង ខេត្ដកំពង់សឺ្ព។ លុះព្រឹកឡើងថ្ងៃទី២៥ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មាំង ខាងលើបានចេញពីទីនោះឆ្ពោះមកភូមិតានាង វ៉េតេៈ៥០១-៥៣៩ ដើម្បីដុតបំផ្លាញផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុកនៅចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៥០១-៥៤៩ និង ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៤៩៧-៥៤៧។
