On January 8, 1974, about 12 Khmer Communist soldiers transported many cases of mortar shells from Prek Sleng village at WT 108-475 to WT 058-686, 075-675 and 087-667 in Kien Svay district, Kandal province in an attempt to fire shells at the National armed force bases a long the National road 1 in shortly there after.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ៨-មករា-១៩៧៤ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដប្រហែល១២នាក់ បានដឹកគ្រាប់រំសេវគ្រប់ធុនពិសេសមានគ្រប់កាំភ្លើងត្បាល់ច្រើនឡាំងបាន ចេញពីភូមិព្រែកស្លែង ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវេតេ០៥៨-៦៨៦, ០៧៥-៦៧៥, ០៨៧-០៦៧ ក្នុងស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ គោលបំណងខ្មាំងខាងលើប្រុងវាយព្រហារទីតាំងយើងនៅបណ្ដោយ ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១ ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗខាងមុខនេះ។
