On January 26, 1973, about 140 Khmer Viet Cong divided into groups.
- First group of 70 enemies mingled with villagers at WT 179-618, in Banteay Dek and at WT 198-575, in Samrong Thom sub-district, Kean Svay district, Kandal province. - Second group of 70 enemies mingled with villagers at WT 242-568, in Samrong Ka-e village, Koki Thom sub-district, Kean Svay district. They all attempted to attack National Army in Prek Thmei and to destroy the bridges in Koki Thom and Samrong Thom commune, Kean Svay district. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៦ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល ១៤០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានបំបែកគ្នាជាពីរក្រុមដូចតទៅៈ ក្រុមទី១ ខ្មាំងចំនួន៧០នាក់ បានមកបង្កប់ខ្លួននៅក្នុងឃុំបន្ទាយដែក ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ១៧៩-៦១៨ និងឃុំសំរោងធំ ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ ១៩៨-៥៧៥ ក្នុងស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ក្រុមទី២ ខ្មាំងចំនួន៧០នាក់ បានបង្កប់ខ្លួននៅក្នុងភូមិសំរោងក្អៃ ចំណុច ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ២៤២-៥៦៨ ក្នុងឃុំគគីរធំ ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ។ គោលបំណងខ្មាំងនឹងផ្ដាច់ស្ពាននៅក្នុងឃុំសំរោងធំ ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ។
