On March 18, 1973, around 500 Khmer-Yuon Viet Cong soldiers in black uniforms stored weapons and ammunition in Thick low forest at VV 972-633, 962-630, 967-614, 962-613 and 960-605, between Tuol Kok Kralar to Prek Chong Saray forest in Sra Lao sub-district, Tang Kok district, Kampong Thom province. They always sent their soldiers to raid on the National Army along National Road No. 5 in region No. 5.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យួន និងខ្មែរយៀកកុងស្លៀពាក់ ខ្មៅប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ធុនចំនួនប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ និងស្ដុកអាវុធគ្រាប់ រំសេវនៅក្នុងជំរុំនៅតាមព្រៃរនាមចាប់ពីទួលគោកក្រឡ រហូតដល់ព្រៃ ព្រែកចុងសារាយ ពីចំណុចវ៉េអ៊ុយៈ៩៧២-៦៣៣, ៩៦២-៦៣០, ៩៦៧-៦១៤, ៩៦២-៦១៣ និង៩៦០-៦០៥ ក្នុងឃុំស្រឡៅ ស្រុកតាំងគោក ខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ ប្រភពបញ្ជាក់ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះតែងតែ ផ្លាស់ប្ដូរគ្នាវាអោយចេញមកវាយប្រហារកងការពារយើង នៅតាម ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៥ ក្នុងតំបន់សាលាលេខ៥។
