On October 17, 1973, an escapee, Sam Phorn, presented at the Khmer Embassy in the south Vietnam. On October 22, 1973, he was sent to the National Khmer general staff.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៧ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ជនភៀសខ្លួនម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ សំ ផន ជាជនជាតិខ្មែរ បានមកបង្ហាញខ្លួននៅស្ថានទូតខ្មែរប្រចាំប្រទេស វៀតណាមខាងត្ឃូង។ នៅថ្ងៃទី២២ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ជនភៀស ខ្លួនឈ្មោះ សំ ផន នេះត្រូវបានបញ្ជូនមកអគ្គនេសធិការយោធពល ខេមរជាតិ។
