On March 16, 1974, a Khmer Communist, Orng Hean, defected to military authorities in Battalion 299, Brigade 38 based in Veal Khsach village at WU:497-298. He also brought along a AK-47 made in Russia and he served as a militiaman in enemy region.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ មានខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ អ៊ង ហ៊ាន បានចូលមកសារភាពជាមួយកងទ័ពជាតិ នៃកងវរៈសេនាតូច ២៩៩ កពត ៣៨ នៅភូមិវាលខ្សាច់ ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ ៤៩៧-២៩៨ ដោយបាននាំយកអាកា៤៧ ផលិតនៅប្រទេសរុស្សីមួយដើម មកជាមួយផង។ ប្រភពមានមុខងារជាកងឈ្លបក្នុងតំបន់ខ្មាំងកាន់កាប់។
