On March 16, 1974, a Khmer Communist defected to national military authorities in Veal Khsach village WU:497-298, Battalion 299 of Brigade 38. He also brought along a AK-47. He confessed that his name was Chin Cheang aka Nha and served as militiaman in Pong Ro village.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ មានខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដម្នាក់បានចូល មកសារភាពជាមួយកងទ័ពជាតិនៅភូមិវាលខ្សាច់ ឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ ៤៩៧-២៩៨ ក្នុងកងវរៈសេនាតូច២៩៩ នៃកងពលតូច៣៨ ដោយបាននាំយកមកជាមួយនូវអាកា៤៧ មួយដើមផង។ ប្រភព បានសារភាពថា ខ្លួនឈ្មោះ ជិន ជាង ហៅ ញ៉ មាននាទីជា ប្រធានកងឈ្លបភូមិពង្រ។
