A Khmer Communist So Um, defected to national army in division 1 based in a Chinese grave, 1,500m west of Siem Reap (Kantuot) on September 20, 1974. He also brought 3 comrades including Nhim My called Nhim Saroeun, Mao Sambatt, and Lon Likhien. They brought along 3 AK-47, a 75mm cannon binocular and 2 P-14.
ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដឈ្មោះ សូ អ៊ុំ បានមកចុះចូលជាមួយកងទ័ពជាតិ នៅកងពលធំទី១ ប្រចាំការនៅម៉ុងចិនខាងលិចសៀមរាប(កន្ទួត) ប្រហែល១៥០០នាក់ កាលពីថ្ងៃ២០-កញ្ញា-១៩៧៤ ដោយបាន នាំមកជាមួយនូវមិត្ដភក្ដិចំនួន៣នាក់ មកជាមួយឈ្មោះ ញឹម ម៉ី ហៅ ញិម សារឿន, ម៉ៅ សម្បត្ដិ និង លន់ លីឃៀន ជាពិសេស អ្នកទាំង៤ក៏បានយកអាវុធអាកា៤៧ ចំនួន៣ដើម កែវឆ្លុះកាំភ្លើង ៧៥មម មួយនិងប៉េកាទ័រចំនួន២។
