On March 1, 1974, about 150 armed Khmer Communist set up shelters in Koh Kong mountain at TT840-540 in an attempt to attack national army positions in Chhoung Thom at TT 849-599 in shortly thereafter.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដចំនួនប្រហែល ១៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានតាំងជម្រកនៅភ្នំកោះកុង ត្រង់ ចំណុចតេតេ ៨៤០-៥៤០ ក្នុងគោលបំណងវាយប្រហារទីតាំងកង ទ័ពជាតិយើងដែលតាំងនៅឈូងធំ ត្រង់ចំណុចតេតេ ៨៤៩-៥៩៩ ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
