On September 15, 1974, Koy Ley, who escaped fro his unit joined the national military authority at UU 695-940, in Trapeang Chorng village. He served in the Khmer Communist movement in Team 2, Platoon 43, Company 43, Battalion 20, Region 2.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៥ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ម៉េាង១៧ៈ១០នាទី មានខ្មែរ ភ្ញាក់រឮក ឈ្មោះ កុយ ល័យ បានរត់គេចពីជួររបស់ខ្លួនមកចុះចូល ចំពោះមុខអាជ្ញាធរយោធាយើងនៅត្រង់ត្រពាំងជង ត្រង់អ៊ុយអ៊ុយ ៦៩៥-៩៤០ ពុំមានយកសម្ភារសឹកមួយជាមួយទេ។ ជនរូបនេះ ជាយោធានៅក្រុមទី២ កងអនុសេតូចលេខ៤៣ កងអនុសេនាធំ លេខ៤៣ នៃកងវរៈសេនាតូច ព-២០ តំបន់ទី២។
