On December 29, 1973, about 12,000 Khmer Communists in Battalion 110, under the command of Sras, equipped with five 82 mm mortars, twenty five 60 mm mortars, one hundred B40s and twenty B41s, moved from Amleang to various headquaters in Kraing Chek sub-district, Peang Lvea district «Kirirom». Sources said the purpose of the enemy was to capture National Road #4 in Prey Phdao, O Kraing and Peang Kraloeng bridges.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៩ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដចំនួនប្រហែល ២,០០០នាក់ ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងកងវរៈសេនាតូចលេខ១១០ ក្រោមបញ្ជា ការឈ្មោះ ស្រល់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់ទំហំ៨២មម ចំនួន៥ដើម ៦០មម ចំនួន២៥ដើម បេ៤០ ចំនួន១០០ដើម បេ៤១ ចំនួន២០ ដើម បានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីអមលាំងហើយចូលមកស្នាក់តាមភូមិនានា ក្នុងឃុំក្រាំងចេក ស្រុកពាំងល្វា «គីរីរម្យ»។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ថា គោលបំណងរបស់ពួកខ្មាំងនេះប្រុងវាយប្រហារផ្ដាល់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៤ នៅម្ដុំព្រៃផ្ដៅ ស្ពានអូរក្រាំងអំបល់ និងពាំងក្រឡឹង។
