In 1967, An Maong, 30, secretary of Preah Net Preah district, northwest zone, joined the revolution. Later, he went to pill kapok for money. Then Hoeun, spy, asked Phon, First lieutenant, to detain Maong and sent to imprison at Pailin. After that, the First lieutenant assigned Maong to be a spy. In July 1967, Maong was arrested and sent to imprison at Prey Sa while he made contact with Heng.
អន ម៉ោង លេខាស្រុកព្រះនេតព្រះ តំបន់ ពាយ័ព្យ មានអយុ ៣០ ឆ្នាំ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៦៧ ម៉ោងរត់ចូលបដិវត្ដ ហើយទៅស៊ីឈ្នួលបកគ។ ក្រោយមកឈ្មោះ ហឿន «គិញ» រាយការណ៍អោយសក្ដិ ២ ផុន ចាប់ ម៉ោង ដាក់គុកនៅប៉ៃលិន។ បន្ទាប់មកទៀតសក្ដិ ២ ផុន ក៏ចាត់តាំង ម៉ោង ឱ្យធ្វើគិញតែម្ដង។ នៅខែ៧-១៩៦៧ ខ្មាំងបញ្ជូន ម៉ោង មកដាក់គុកនៅព្រៃសវិញ ពេលនោះម៉ោងទាក់ទងធ្វើ សកម្មភាពជាមួយ ហេង។
