Nuon Rum, 26 years old, a group chief of Platoon 3, Unit 233, based in north Western Zone defected to national military authorities in Battalion 405, based in Wat Baset on July 15, 1974. He laso brought along a hand grenade a dagger and a combatant Leng Saruon arrested by enemy troops.
