According to the source, there were about 700 of Khmer Liberation army in Division 15, under the command of Sao at Talon village, Trey Sla village, Sa Ang district, They intended to destroy National Road 1, from Kilometer No. 35 around Prek Yuon village to Kilometer No. 43 around Ung Kou village on the mid of December 1973.
តាមប្រភពផ្ដល់ព័ត៌មានបានឱ្យដឹងថា ទ័ពខ្មែររំដោះមានគ្នាប្រហែល ៧០០នាក់ នៅកងពលទី១៥ បញ្ជាដោយឈ្មោះ សៅ ស្នាក់នៅភូមិ តាលន់ និងភូមិត្រើយស្លា ក្នុងស្រុកស្អាង ក្នុងគោលបំណងប្រុងវាយ ផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១ ត្រង់ចន្លោះចាប់ពីគីឡូម៉ែត្រលេខ៣៥ ម្ដុំភូមិ ព្រែកយួនទៅគីឡូម៉ែត្រលេខ៤៣ ម្ដុំភូមិអុងគូ នៅពាក់កណ្ដាលខែធ្នូ ១៩៧៣។
