According to Reuter, Sihanouk has accused the CIA of running a clandestine radio station which is broadcasting false reports of allege Khmer Rouge barbarisms. In a statement to the press, Sihanouk said that the radio station, which he claims is located in one of Cambodia's neighboring countries, is falsely identifying itself as a station belonging to the Khmer Rouge and has as it pricipal purpose the discrediting of work of rehabilitation in Cambodia.
យោងទៅតាមរ៉ូត័រ សីហនុ បានចោទប្រកាន់ ស៊ីអាយអេ ពីបទ លួចលាក់បើកស្ថានីយ៍វិទ្យុខុសច្បាប់មួយកន្លែង ដែលកំពុងផ្សាយ ព័ត៌មានមិនពិតប្រាកដពី ភាពអមនុស្សធម៌របស់ខ្មែរក្រហម។ សេចក្ដី ថ្លែងការណ៍មួយបញ្ជាក់ថា សីហនុ បាននិយាយថាស្ថានីយ៍វិទ្យុដែលនៅ ប្រទេសជិតខាងកម្ពុជា បានលួចបន្លំជាស្ថានីយ៍វិទ្យុរបស់ខ្មែរក្រហម និងបានធ្វើឱ្យខូចកិត្យានុភាព និងបុននីតិសម្បទានៅកម្ពុជា។
