After April 17, 1975, the Khmer Rouge evacuated my family from Kampong Cham Province to Chhouk Village, Bralay Commune, Stung District, Kampong Thom Province. Approximately two or three Khmer Rouge security guards, Sam, and a village chief named Y Sa, ordered my brother, Tort Y Leah, to visit uncle Sman Roseh, who was sick at the time. My brother has not been seen since that moment. From my point of view, my brother was taken away because we came from a middle class family and he was a well-educated man. The arrest took place in Saoy Village, Peus Commune, Krauch Chmar District, Kampong Cham Province, a few days after the evacuation of Phnom Penh city dwellers in 1975. My older brother, Tort Moha Matt, and younger sister, Tort Na Fi Sass, were taken to be executed by the Khmer Rouge security police in 1977. The village security police named Han and Voeun ordered my sister and brother to resettle and then they disappeared forever. I am not certain why the Khmer Rouge took them away. When the incident took place, they lived in Chhouk Village, Bralay Commune, Stung District, Kampong Thom Province. I saw the Khmer Rouge take them away because I was walking along with them before they got into the cart. Mode of participation: Living far away and being busy with my business, I just want to submit this information to the court and want to file the application form to be a complainant. |
