A Khmer Communist, Chea Tom, 36 years old, born in Kok Ovloek, Spean Thmor, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province, escaped from enemy region to defect to united unit of the sub-military Phnom Penh on July 03, 1974, and brought along a Russian BM gun with 30 bullets. He requested to serve the National Army.
ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដឈ្មោះ ជា តុំ អាយុ៣៦ឆ្នាំ កើតនៅភូមិគោកឱឡឹក ឃុំស្ពានថ្ម ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល បានរត់ចេញពីតំបន់ខ្មាំង មកចុះចូលជាមួយកងឯកភាពផ្នែកសឹករងភ្នំពេញ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៣ កក្កដា ១៩៧៤ ដោយនាំមកជាមួយនូវអាវុធប៉េអឹមរុស្សី ចំនួន១ដើម និងគ្រាប់៣០គ្រាប់ ហើយបានសុំចូលបម្រើក្នុងកងទ័ពជាតិ។
