SS Mayaguez Seized, US. Marines Storm Cambodian Island, May 12, 1975, Khmer Rouge naval forces seized the American-flagged SS Mayaguez. According to reconnaissance aircraf, it appeared the crew was taken to a small island off Cambodia's sourthestern coast, Koh Tang. President Ford ordered a rescue operation to free the Mayaguez crew.
ម៉ាយ៉ាហេ្គស ដែលជាកងនាវាសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិច បានធ្វើការវាយប្រហារ មកលើកោះ នៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ១២ ឧសភា ១៩៧៥។ កងនាវាខ្មែរក្រហមបានឃាត់ ម៉ាយ៉ាហេ្គសនោះ។ យោងតាមយន្ដហោះ យកការ កងនាវាសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិច ត្រូវបានឃាត់ខ្លួននៅកោះមួយ នៅ ទិសអាគេ្នយ៍ គឺកោះតាំង។ ប្រធានាធិបតេយ្យ ហូដ បានបញ្ជាឱ្យបង្កើតប្រតិបត្ដិការជួយរំដោះ ម៉ាយ៉ាហេ្គស។
