A source reported that on July 17, 1971, about 210 Khmer Viet Cong including 26 Vietnamese had 82 mortars and set up shelters to the South of Romeas village VT 687-796, 687-799.
តាមប្រភពព័ត៌មានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៧ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល២១០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃក្នុងនោះមាន យួន២៦នាក់ មានម៉កដេទំហំ៨២មម ២ដើម បានតាំងជម្រកនៅខាង ត្បូងភូមិរមាស ក្នុងរង្វង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ៦៨៧-៩៩៦, ៦៨៧-៧៩៩។
