Interviewed with Thung Than's step mother named Im Chea. Chea said that Than's mother died since Than was young. Than was assigned to serve the Khmer Rouge be Phon and Nam who are the chiefs of village. It was when Than was 14. Since the Than disappeared. Than's father died over ten years ago. Im Chea said that Than has an older brother lives near Tuol Sleng pagoda in Leuk Dek sub-district, Koh Thom district. His younger sister Sreav was away on her business at Koh Kong-Phnom Penh.
ខេឌីអាយ១០២៥ ២០០៤១២២១ នៅភូមិចុងកោះ ឃុំកំពង់ កុង ស្រុកកោះធំ ខេត្តកណ្តាល។ សម្ភាសដោយៈ ឡុង ដានី កំណត់សំគាល់ៈ ធុង ថន បាត់ខ្លួន។ ជួបសម្ភាសជាមួយ អ៊ឹម ជា ត្រូវជាម្តាយចុងរបស់ធុង ថន ហើយគាត់បានប្រាប់ឱ្យដឹងថា ម្តាយថនស្លាប់តាំងពីថននៅតូច។ ថន ត្រូវប្រធានភូមិឈ្មោះផុន និងឈ្មោះណម មកហៅឱ្យទៅធ្វើ កងទ័ព។ នៅពេលនោះថនទើប មានអាយុ១៤ឆ្នាំទេ។ ចាប់តាំងពី ពេលនោះមកថនបានបាត់ដំ ណឹងរហូតមកដល់បច្ចុប្បន្ន។ ចំណែកឪពុករបស់ថន ស្លាប់ជាង ១០ឆ្នាំហើយ។ អ៊ឹម ជាបាន បញ្ជាក់ទៀតថា ថនមានបងប្រុស ម្នាក់រស់នៅជិតវត្តទួលសែ្លង ឃុំលើកដែក ស្រុកកោះធំ។ ចំ ណែកប្អូនស្រីម្នាក់ទៀត ឈ្មោះស្រ៊ាវ បានចេញទៅរកស៊ី នៅកោះកុងស្រែអំបិលភំ្នពេញ។
