The head of Khmer Communist commanded Chhean, a chief of Unit 97, to recruit soldier in villages, communes and the districts and the raw recruit should be from teachers, students and monks between 15 and 50 years old.
ពួកខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានបញ្ជាឱ្យឈ្មោះ ឈាន ជាប្រធាន គ៩៧ ឱ្យដើរ ជ្រើសរើសទាហានតាមភូមិ ឃុំ និងស្រុក។ ចំណែកអ្នកដែលត្រូវ ជ្រើសរើសឱ្យចូលធ្វើទាហានរបស់ខ្មាំង គឺជ្រើសរើសយកទាហាន រត់ចោលជួរ គ្រូបង្រៀន សិស្ស លោកសង្ឃ ហើយអ្នកទាំង នោះត្រូវមានអាយុចាប់ពី១៥ឆ្នាំ ទៅ៥០ឆ្នាំ។
