On January 22, 1975, Major Suon Mong, interrogated Ven Vorn, Vorn confessed that he had served in the Khmer Communist Movement on February 1974, as a soldiers in Region 304, Group 3 of Platoon 2, before he become a soldiers. He had been training in military twice or one month he also bring with him an AK-47 gun with 4 cartridge while he defected.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២២ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ វរៈសេនីយ៍ត្រី សួន ម៉ុង បាន សួរចម្លើយឈ្មោះ វ៉ែន វ៉ន។ វ៉ន បានសារភាពថា ខ្លួនបានបម្រើខ្មែរ កុម្មុយនិស្ដកាលពីខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ដោយធ្វើជាកងទ័ព៣០៤ ក្នុង ឋានៈជាយុទ្ធជនក្នុងក្រុមទី៣ កងអនុសេនាតូចទី២ នៅភូមិភាគ៣០៤។ មុនកងទ័ព វ៉ន តូចបានបញ្ជូនទៅឱ្យរៀនក្បួនយុទ្ធសាស្ដ្រចំនួន១ខែ។ នៅក្នុងការប្រយុទ្ធលើកទី៣ ជាមួយកងទ័ពជាតិលើសមរភូមិធំ ខ្លួនក៏ត្រូវចាប់បានដោយអាវុធអាកា៤៧ មួយដើម និងបង់៤ទៀតផង។
