On January 5, 1975, after the fight with National Army at VT 980-620, 350 Khmer Communist soldiers in Battalion 124 of regiment 154, whose commander was Kea and sub-commander was Kruy settled down in Kroch village at 911-516 and Krang Pou village at VT 904-507. They carried two 75mm guns three mortars, two 12,7mm artilleries.
