Chhun Sarun, 23, chief of Platoon, was born in Trabeuk Village, Ponhea Leu Sub-district, Preach Sdech District, Prey Veng Province. Sarun joined the army in Region 24 in 1970. In 1971, Sarun came to company 91 under Oeun. In 1973, Oeun indoctrinated Sarun to serve for the Free Khmer movement and infiltrate into Battalion 109, Regiment 160, and convinced soldiers to leave guns behind. In 1975, Phuon assigned Sarun to join unit 502, infiltrated and conducted activities to convince soldiers to resist the revolution, destroy it, and prepare for July 1976 plots to destroy major warehouses.
ឈ្មោះឈុន សារុន អាយុ ២៣ ឆ្នាំ ប្រធានកងអនុសេនាតូច។ សារុន កើតនៅភូមិត្របើក ឃុំបញាឮ ស្រុកព្រះសេ្ដច ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង។ សារុន ចូលកងទ័ពនៅតំបន់ ២៤នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧០។ ១៩៧១ សារុនមកនៅកងអនុសេនាធំ ៩១ ក្រោមការដឹកនាំ របស់អឿន។ ១៩៧៣ អឿន អប់រំសារុនឱ្យចូលបំរើខ្មែរសេរី បង្កប់នៅក្នុងអង្គភាពវរសេនាតូច ១០៩ វរសេនាធំ ១៦០ ហើយចលនាយុទ្ធជនឱ្យរត់ចោលកាំភ្លើង។ ១៩៧៥ ភួន ចាត់តាំងឱ្យសារុនចូលកង ៥០២ បង្កប់ធ្វើសកម្មភាពចលនា យុទ្ធជនឱ្យទំនាស់ប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដ បំផ្លាញបដិវត្ដនិងត្រៀមចាំផែន ការខែ៧-១៩៧៦ កំទេចសម្ភារៈឃ្លាំងសាំងធំៗ។
