Summary / Abstract :

Self defence is a right as old as the hill. It is the obligatory corollary to such "unalienable rights" as "life, liberty and the persuit of happiness" which the 1976 US declaration of independence affirmed that "all men"..."are endowed by their creater with". Since as early as the middle age, there has been a distinction between unjust wars and just wars, a war of aggression or conquest is one of the former. To the latter's category belongs any war against foreign aggression or conquest.
