The Lon Nol regime is on its death bed, with the liberation forces continuing their offensive and maintaining their siege of Phnom Penh with increasing strength. The last Lon Nol base on the Mekong, Neak Luong, is already party liberated. the shelling of Phnom Penh and its airport is intersifying and, increasing, Lon Nol soldiers are refusing to go into hopeless battle. Total victory for the Royal Government of National Union of Cambodia (RGNUK) appears very most foreign embassies in Phnom Penh, including the French Embassy have evacuated their personal. Even the U.S Embassy reportedly has been burning documents and evacuating "nonessential" officals. American civilian relief workers have also left the capital at the request of the U.S Embassy.
