Washington, May 15 (IHT).-U.S. Marines and aircraft today rescued and American cargo ship and its 39-man crew from Khmer Rouge captors. After a 15 hours air-sea operation, helicopters under heavy fire lifted the last Marines from Koh Tang Island in the gulf of Thailand. Pentagon source said two Americans-a Marine and a helopter crewman-were killed and "many" others wounded in the operation, ordered by President Ford after diplomatic effort to free the ship brought no immediate ressult.
