Singapore May 18.-The captain of the US. merchant ship Mayaguez, captured at sea by the Cambodian Navy, declared on this safe arrival here yesterday that the believed it was necessary for the United States to use force to free him and his crew. "They were scared to death of our jets," said capt.Charles Miller, 62 "and it really was necessary for the Marines to land."
