A family of six mother, father and for children can survive in this capital on $45 a month, according to United Nations experts here. That amount puts a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, Some fuel into their stove and a cortain minimum of nutrition in their stomachs. But there are few people here who have earned $45 this month or any other month in recent memory. Starvation is growing and the economy of what was once a prospering country is increasingly paralyzed.
