Phnom Penh, the spirit world in wartime Cambodia is up in arm. It is pulling its weight behind Lon Nol's gorvernment rather as the Mafia in Italy hald the Allies in world war II. The Camnbodia soothsager captain I met here sat at an ordinary desk saying medieval things with complete calm and conviction plumpish and bespectactacled he tacked like a didactic character out of Alice in wonderland- the caterpillar or the mad hatter.
