Summary / Abstract :
|
The U.S ship Mayaguez intruded into Cambodian territorial water on May 12 to carry out provocation against Cambodia. Right after this the United States blantantly sent aircraft to bomb Cambodia and marines to invade it. This was a serious provocation against the Cambodian people and an act of piracy and simple. On May 15 and 16, Hu Nim, Minister of Information and propaganda and government spokesman issued seperate statement sternly condemning the aggression against Cambodia by U.S ships and aircraft and strongly opposing the U.S armed threat against Cambodia.
