A srudent movement in opposition to the Lon Nol regime in Cambodia has arisen since last March, largely unnoticed by the US press. " For the first time Marshal Lon Nol has been publicly criticized," Commented an Agence France press release last May 3. Three students have been killed and more than 19 others wounded in demonstration in Phnom Penh and Svay Rieng. Demonstration and students strikes began early in March but swelled considerably after soldiers fired on the students demonstrating in Phnom Penh's Independence square on April 27.
