Khmer Rouge commandos have taken the historic Khao Phra Vihan Buddhist temple on the frontier between Cambodia and Thailand after a classic battle in which they scaled cliff faces 2,000ft high. The battle to oust a hardcore of soldiers loyal to Cambodia's Lon Nol regime garrisoned in the massive sandstone temple will almost certainly be the last seen in Indochina for same time after two decades of fighting.
