After the disclosure that President Lon Nol will leave Cambodia this week, there have been a number of meeting between various cabinet factions in an attemp to exploit the president's departure. It appears that the factions headed by Mr Hang Thun Hak, the new first Deputy Prime Minister, and Mr Pan Sothi, the third Deputy Prime Minister, will attempt in the president's absence to win the confidence of Prince Sihanouk's government in exile for negotiations.
