Subjects of debate raised by Anthony Lewis in his article "The Mayaguez Affair". "The Morning After" (IHT, May 20) must be attended to by conscientious Americans. He doubts whether the Ford administration gave the Khmer Rouge enough time to free the Mayaguez and her crew, for only 35 hours elapsed between the initial capture and the incipient rescue attempt.
