In July 18, Cambodia complainted yesterday that Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops destroyed a portal of the 1,000 year old Phnom Bacheng monument in the vicinity of Angkor Thom, the ruins of the ancient Khmer capital. Ambassdor Truong Cang said in a letter addressed to secretary General Kurt Waldhiem that the monument was fired upon by heavy artillery.
