|
On the day after the fall of Neak Loung and Banam, the Cambodian government's last remaining outposts on the Mekong River supply route, the American Embassy announced today that it was temporarily evacuating some of its official and unofficial personnal. Althought it was emphasised that the decision had not been taken as a result of the fall of the two towns, the embassy said that in reviewing the situation all factors had been taken into consideration.
