Phnom Penh: The month-long teachers' strike last momentum last week when the government announced it was temporarily closing all public schools. The announcement came in the wake of increasing rocket attacks concentrated in the heart of Phnom Penh, where almost all the public schools are located. The last straw came when a rocket landed in the couryard of the French-run Lycée Déscartes High school as students congregated outside the gates waiting for classes to begin. A man working in the area was killed.
