Nearly 300 fleeing Cambodia were shot and killed by the Communist Khmer Rouge last week as they tried to escape to Thailand, according to reports in Bangkok yesterday. The reports said that about a dozen survivors interviewed at the Thai border town of Arangaprathet told of three separate incidents in which men, women and children were aimbushed and shot by Khmer Rouge patrols as they fled towards the border.
