Summary / Abstract :

In January 1974 Phnom Penh and its periphery remained targets to heavy shellings of the people's national liberation armed forces of Cambodia. Especially in its classing day, many enemy strategic position the city came within the range of the patriots' guns: the U.S embassy, the U.S air advisors' bellets, the broadcasting station, the resident of Lon Nol, Cheng Heng (Vice President), Long Borat (Premier), Fernandez, Chief of Staff of the Phnom Penh Army, the Army Headquarter. Pochentong airfield was pounded twenty time, and sometimes was closed to traffic the whole day. considerable war equipment and many installations in Lon Nol's residence were damaged or destroyed.
